Across the wetlands of Mithila, generations of farmers have cultivated makhana by hand. Before it reached supermarket shelves and became a modern healthy snack, it was already part of the lives, traditions and livelihoods of thousands of families in Bihar.

At PHI Foods, we wanted to preserve that connection.
